Thanks for joining me for another Style Scouting post and for all the comments and emails with ideas and suggestions for post topics you left me last week. I made a list and will try to get to all of them over the next few months.
If you ever want to see me write about a certain topic, don’t hesitate to let me know.
Last week I left the house for a day of errands. I plan ahead for a day out & about since I live in a rural area and it takes some time to get to where stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, Target are. I try to do everything I need that requires me to go out in one day.
After buying wood for the plate rack wall I mentioned that I am going to make, I passed HomeGoods and decided to stop before heading home.
The last time I was there, the shelves were empty. Not so on this visit. I am so happy that I stopped to take a spin around the aisles as I found a few things. 🙂 A shaggy puff throw, a set of Tommy Bahama melamine dinner plates and a wreath. You will be seeing these show up in photos over the next few weeks. 🙂
I am showing you them now because when I do end up posting about them, they may be sold out.
Now on to this week’s Style Scouting, where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me.
This is one dreamy house.
I just love the garage of this house and how it blends in with the surrounding landscape. And the coziness of the interior of this home.
Has this traditional accessory made it back in to your home? Maybe it never left. 🙂
The ultimate in comfort food.
Old shutters make an impact.
I love the names that are given to decorating trends… like this one.
Since I live in this type of home, but in reverse, I found this interesting.
How to declutter once and for all, even sentimental items.
When long items don’t fit into kitchen drawers…. Martha goes diagonal. And speaking of Martha. She has a new book out. If you liked the magazine’s Good Things column, then you will enjoy this book.
Under my bathroom sink is a mess, I need to make this.
I ordered and then shared this with my blog subscriber’s last week.
I have been using this facial mask/exfoliator for the past 6 months and like how my skin looks and feels after I use it. I decided to splurge and try this as a gift from me to me for Christmas. My skin loves it and it smells so good.
That’s it for now. Coming up on the blog this week I will be sharing creative ways to organize around your home and the new plate rack wall in my kitchen, although right now, I am still in the process of making it. I also made something totally unique using parts from a few different items that turned out better than I expected.
