Style Scouting: Vol. 38

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share what’s up in my life and the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

I had the best intentions last week to get a bunch of projects checked off on my to-do list and posted, but I am just not focused. I think being able to be outdoors more has played a big part in not getting stuff done.

Yesterday I got closer to completing a new wood tabletop for our kitchen table. Ed helped me as it is pretty big and I needed a set of extra hands. My plan is to get it cut out and installed today.

I am also working on another wood project – one that is much smaller in scale, but just as exciting. I will have this one done and posted this week. I think you are going to like it.

Along with getting these done, I will be sharing an update on the garden and on Friday I will share more about Plant Based, No Oil eating and will try to answer all the questions I have been receiving. So stay tuned.

What You May Have Missed This Past Week:

Decorating

Now that Easter is over, how do you decorate for spring? Pictured above is one easy idea. Bring in a cutting from your yard and place in a glass bottle or two.

I need to try these tips as I can’t get myself motivated to spring clean the house. Maybe after pollen season? 🙂

This is the time of year that home decorating publishers, publish new books. I am excited to read this one that just came out.

I have never done this kind of paint treatment on a wall. Have you?

I would LOVE it if my home had this well designed indoor/outdoor flow.

Gardening

BHG

Wood can really WOW! When your garden needs a little something decorative… or big.

Eat

I signed up for a trial of Discovery + to see the some of first episodes of The Magnolia Network’s shows. So far my favorite is The Lost Kitchen. Have you watched it? So good!!! If you enjoyed the series, then you may enjoy this detailed glimpse of the inside of Maine’s most wildly In-demand restaurant. And if you liked the floral arrangements – here is how they do the tall ones.

Such a smart sandwich wrap. I can’t wait to try this.

No toast for your avocado, try this instead.

This veggie doesn’t get the respect it deserves. They add the best flavor to soup and more.

Fun & Interesting

This is very cool and so innovated. Powered by the wind.

After a year of not going to the movies, I forget what a theater looks like, and then I read this.

If you have ever wondered how many people in the U.S. share your name, this website is a way to find out. According to the site, there is only one of me. 🙂

If you enjoy these posts – You can find past Style Scouting posts here.
