Style Scouting: Vol. 36

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting where I share what’s up in my life and the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

It has been a short week for me. Ed and I were up on Charlottesville last weekend to celebrate Zoe’s second birthday and stayed past the weekend. We want to spend as much time with her as we can since she and her parents (my daughter, Kelly and son-in-law) will be moving to California in June. 🙁

It’s a 7-hour car ride now to see them. We will have to fly after June. We are also planning a trip to visit them via a rented RV in the fall to take a leisurely trip across the country to reminisce about our cross-country trip to California when we first met.

Now that it is spring, the weather has been nice- warm enough to open the windows and enjoy the fresh air, but that didn’t last long – the weather did, but not the fresh air.

We had to close the windows because the pollen has started and is covering everything.

It has only been a few days and it is everywhere. It looks like smoke in the sky in every direction. It is on every surface, in my eyes, in my computer keyboard, on my shoes, on the lake shore.

Do you get extreme pollen where you live?

Decorating

This entry!

Inspiration for a collected look on your walls.

If you like homes and home decorating… this will WOW you!

One very unique sink!

Kitchen love.

For flower garden lovers. Inspiring flower bulb gardens.

Didn’t know you could use shaving creme to dye Easter Eggs.

I love her portfolio. And this one.

Thinking about painting the exterior of your home, here are colors to consider.

Make

These are so cute to make for spring, and got me thinking what else I could I make using this medium, then I saw his trendy decoration DIY using a similar material.

If you enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, this DIY is for you. Or if you are not into DIY, this is pretty nice to have.

Eat

For Easter brunch or dinner.

These look too pretty to eat.

Pretty and actually doable birthday cake decorating.

If you are eating plant-based and like the Power Ball recipe I shared last week, this Carrot Energy Ball recipe just landed in my inbox. I haven’t tried it yet, but will this week.

Interesting

Now we know where the Easter Bunny lives.

And then there is this tree!

Shhh!….The animal whisperer.

What happens to your trash once the trash truck guys pick it up from the curb.

An artist with a “Light” touch.

Fun

If you were in your teens or twenties in the early 80’s, this is a fun flashback…

Proof that “everything that goes around, comes back around”.

Earlier this week, my younger sister texted me this currently running Old Navy ad and wrote…

Fashion is cyclical. I used to wear this exact shirt of yours when I was in high school in the 80’s and you were out of college living at home and working in retail display. It was one of my faves. I remember you dressing me for school like one of your fashion mannequins in the store. I wore a bandana just like this in the pic and the jeans. The only difference, I wore your Stan’s” aka… Adidas Stan Smith tennis sneakers. 🙂

And one last item knowing that this is the week for eggs….
