I had the BEST weekend ever this past weekend. Why? Well, 2020 has not been a great year when it comes to flea markets & antique finds due to the pandemic. This past weekend we finally went to our first [& probably last] flea market of 2020 at Elk Horn flea in Wisconsin. We drove 4 hours there & 4 hours back in one day, & it was the hottest market I think I’ve ever been to, but all of my finds and family time were so worth it. Here are some things I scored on our antiquing journey this weekend…
Some items I picked up:
- antique bentwood chairs
- bentwood cane stools
- antique bentwood coatrack
- antique baskets
- antique apothecary drawers
- antique marble plate and glass cloche
- antique cament form tray
- wooden antique sign
- antique chalkboard
- antique crock
- not pictured: antique coffee table & antique long mirror
I styled the bentwood chairs in the library & I loved the contrast of the wood against all of the white in the space. As far as all of the other items, I quickly just styled them in some temporary places to show you how I would use them.. who knows though, some of them may stay there for a while! I see a pattern in what I picked up… lots of dark, cozy, wood tones! I think my brain was gearing up for fall even though it was the hottest day of the year!
I had so much fun taking photos of all my finds around the house today to share with you guys, but I haven’t decided what ones I will end up keeping and what ones I will end up bringing to the store. I’ll keep you posted! For now, I’m having fun playing around with them!
