Hey friends! I’m telling you now… I may go crazy because we haven’t been able to go to a flea market all summer. Covid has taken many things away from us, but flea markets are on the top of the list with everything else. So I have been trying to go to an antique store every once in a while to scratch that antique hunt itch. This past weekend the boys and I stopped at one of our favorites, Garden House, in Kalamazoo. I didn’t go in looking for anything in particular, but I seemed to hit the Americana summer jackpot…
I wasn’t kidding!! Look at all that red, white, & blue! From baseball mits to baseball bats to flags to baseballs & so much more. When I think of summer decor I think of many different things, but one of the main things is patriotic decor and pieces that are reminiscent of times past. As I went from booth to booth in the shop I kept seeing these pieces that worked so well together so I snagged some of them up & got excited to bring them home & style them all together…
All of the above was found this weekend & here is a little list of the items in case you want to look for them the next time you are out & about:
- vintage pin stripe overalls
- metal milk bottle baskets
- military cot
- antique bread basket
- antique baseball gloves
- antique flags
- antique megaphone
- jar of vintage baseballs
- antique souvenir bats
- antique skein of string
That military cot was only $ 20 and it was in such great shape! Not sure what I will do with it yet, but I was thinking it could be really good on the porch. All of the Americana decor I will try to style and share with you later. That bread basket is going to be styled in the kitchen which I will also show you.
