: U.S. stock futures flat as 2021 trading kicks off

U.S. stock-market futures opened flat late Sunday, in the first trading session of the new year.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YM00, +0.01%, S&P 500 futures ES00, +0.05% and Nasdaq-100 futures NQ00, +0.05% were little changed.

U.S. stocks finished higher Thursday, the last trading day of 2020, with the Dow and S&P 500 setting new records as investors rung out a wild year that saw equities collapse into a bear market before rebounding to all-time highs.
