Style Scouting: Vol. 33

Hello friends –

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting where I share what’s up in my life and the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

On Tuesday, I finished up my physical therapy sessions for my right thigh and hip. They feel back to normal which I am so happy about.

At the end of each therapy session, the therapist used a Hyperice Hypervolt cordless vibration massage gun over my leg muscles. If you’ve ever visited a physical therapist, you’ve probably seen it. It works like a mini jack-hammer to help loosen tight muscles, reduce soreness and improve range of motion. My leg muscles never felt so good.

When I realized that once I stopped going to PT, I wouldn’t be getting that treatment anymore, I was a little sad.

The physical therapist told me I could buy one at Best Buy. I had no idea it was such a popular product with many lower priced knock-offs. I bought one, even though it was pricey. If it can make my leg muscles feel so good along with keeping fit, it’s worth every penny. It’s pure bliss for sore or tight muscles. I feel like I am walking on air after a session with it.

On Thursday I got out and about in the sunny 74 degree day. Spring is on its way. I spent most of the morning at Lowes getting supplies for a few upcoming DIY’s and bought wood so Ed and I can make a new large table top for the kitchen table.

I will post all about it once we get it together. I hope to have it completed for Easter week when my family will be visiting.

What I Found Inspiring This Week:

Decorating

I am seeing arches show up in a lot of interiors lately. I like this one in photo above.

And speaking of the interior arch trend, I am not sure I like the arch they added in this affordable, no shiplap makeover by Chip and Johanna. What do you think?

I do like this arch, though – it’s painted and when the trend is over, you can simply paint over it.

The serene home of Dakota Johnson.

Elegant, vintage rustic kitchens.

For anyone trying to come up with a name for your personal decorating stylethat I posted about recently. This article may give you a few name ideas.

What this blogger did was complex, but a smart way to ease the burden of doing the laundry for her active family.

Lifestyle

What’s wrong with my plant!

If you like to garden – you will find these irresistible.

Over 60 and female? Aging is more joyful than we think.

DIY

I dressed up the utility sink in my previous home using a decorative embellishment and fabric. This blogger used wood to totally disguise hers.

Just add moss. A decorative Easter decoration to make.

A thrift store find gets a simple tweak and now looks styling on a counter or table.

Eat

I made these last week – yum! I don’t eat anything with processed sugar and used unsweetened chocolate chips that I bought at Trader Joes.

I plan to make this tonight for dinner. And these easy dessert kabobs.

What I Bought

I am thinking about getting this clever gadget for my kitchen counter backsplash outlet to hide electrical cords. I also took note of some of these ideas.

I live in a bathing suit most weekends in the summer. I bought this suit and love how it looks and fits.

Starting on Monday this week. I will be sharing decorating ideas for SPRING around the house. so stayed tuned if you like to change things up for the season.
