I feel like every year I go all out with my patriotic decor around the 4th of July. This year that wasn’t the case. Maybe it was covid, maybe it was our countries atmosphere, or maybe it was the fact that our house is one big construction zone right now, but whatever it was… I didn’t overly decorate for the 4th of July. But I did add a little touch to the front living room & it’s so subtle that it could be perfect patriotic decor for all summer long…
I used a few of my recent antique finds mixed with some of my antique flags I already owned to create a very simple look in the front living room by our new cabinet that you can see more of [HERE]. I picked up these demijohn bottles & antique nautical flags at our shop. I love the Americana vibes that these items give together & of course the pops of red, white, & blue. I posted last week about my favorite ways to decorate for the fourth of July [HERE] & using antiques was one of my favorite ways. Antiques are the perfect backdrop to your patriotic decor, but if you don’t have some antique demijohns grab some glass jars, a pale, or basket to stick your flags in. You don’t have to plaster flags & banners all over your house to be festive. Simple touches like this are the perfect cozy amount of 4th of July Decor that you can leave out all summer long.
Of course there is no right way or wrong way to decorate for the 4th of July, I’m really loving this simple approach this year. It’s kind of neat to see how our circumstances reflect in our decor and influence how we decorate from year to year. This year, it’s all about simplicity. I hope you liked this glimpse at our 4th of July decor. If you want to see more of our past 4th of July decor you can go [HERE]. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & every single day. xx
