Our Stay at the Florida Riad

If you have been keeping up with us on Instagram you may have caught a few photos of us not buried in snow. A few months ago, our friend, Lena from Farmhouse Frocks, invited us out to stay one of her Florida Riad AirBnB’s. We were just getting into a winter season at the time, we knew we would want to defrost a few of the outer layers of our Michigan chill, so we booked our trip and never looked back. We have caught glimpses of this beautiful home, perfectly styled by Lena (of course), but the moment you pull up the driveway and open the front door, you are just blown away with how perfectly styled and attention to each detail that was spent on this little AirBnB.

We have known Lena for many years, and know how much the Moroccan style has influenced her and inspires her, and when you walk into this seemingly cute little house from outside, you quickly forget that you are in an AirBnb in Sarasota Florida, and not in a little cabana at a sandal resort. There are so many things I loved about the interior design, things I could easily take home and fit perfectly into my cottage style farmhouse. These are the photos we took, but check out her photos of both of her Riad’s (here).

She really knocked it out of the park with this little Riad of hers. We are not that seasoned at staying at AirBnB’s, but the few that we have stayed at over the years, If we were to get into the short term rental, AirBNB industry, we would definitely use this Riad as inspiration. I will say, it has always been a dream of mine to own a few AirBnB’s to style and share with others, it would be so fun.

The Florida Riad is a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath house with a pool and fenced in yard! One of the bedrooms has two twin sized beds and the rest of the rooms had full sized beds. We slept in the main bedroom, and Copey slept in the room with the two twins, in his pack and play.

Not only was this stay as cozy as our home, it was definitely a family vacation for the soul. We have been quite busy the last few months, are were so grateful to get time to come down here as a family, soak in the sun, and just have a full week of fun with one another. We cannot wait until we can make our way back to this beautiful little Riad! Thank you Lena, and if you are looking for a little getaway of your own, check out This Florida Riad (Here) and they also have another one, in the same area, check that one out (here). This was our first trip away from home since 2020, and we feel pretty good with how it all went. We are hoping we can do some more traveling as a family in 2021, it means a lot to me and Jose, and also we feel like some really good memories and growing happens on these trips as a family and for Copey. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and every other day.
