Movement Mortgage Expands Sales Leadership to Drive Growth Nationwide

INDIAN LAND, S.C. — Movement Mortgage, one of the nation’s largest retail mortgage lenders, is excited to announce changes to its senior sales leadership team with the promotion of company veterans Matt Schoolfield, Chris Shelton, and Kisha Weir to Divisional Leaders. They will be responsible for unified, strategic, long-term growth and development across the entire sales organization.

The promotions, announced during a company-wide meeting today, are designed to further align Movement’s sales organization and accelerate the company’s growth. Movement’s sales force will now be connected by Schoolfield, Shelton, and Weir each leading one of three new divisions. They will report to Movement Mortgage President Mike Brennan

“I’m proud of the depth and experience of Movement’s sales organization, which is reflected in the talent and trust built with these incredible leaders. They each exemplify our commitment to excellence in helping Movement reach our goal of becoming the top purchase mortgage lender in every community we serve,” Brennan says.

Kisha Weir, Chris Shelton and Matt Schoolfield promoted to Divisional Leaders at Movement Mortgage.

  • Schoolfield has led the charge for Movement in the Southeast since 2012. He brings over 20 years of mortgage experience to this new role. His commitment to servant leadership sets him apart in the way he genuinely cares and coaches his team towards new levels of achievement and success. Schoolfield will now lead the South and Central division.
  • Shelton joined Movement in 2012, and with more than 17 years in the mortgage industry, has served Movement’s sales teams in many leadership roles including mentor and coach. Shelton’s region has experienced unprecedented growth and success as Movement’s largest and most profitable for several years. His new division will cover the Eastern U.S.
  • Weir joined the team in 2019 as part of Movement’s first-ever acquisition. During Weir’s tenure, she has helped grow the Pacific Northwest to one of the largest, and most profitable regions, in the company. Her commitment to the success of those around her allows her team to consistently achieve their personal and professional goals. Weir will lead the Western division of the sales force.

“I’m thrilled about this announcement because these leaders make us better as an organization and have built the respect of their teammates. Great leaders attract great leaders, and Matt, Chris and Kisha demonstrate the servant leadership qualities that make Movement a company that others want to join. Best days are truly yet to come,” says Movement CEO Casey Crawford.

Movement, founded in 2008, funded $ 30 billion in home mortgages in 2020, making it one of the largest purchase mortgage lenders in the U.S. Licensed in all 50 states, the company is expanding nationwide as it hires hundreds of loan officers, underwriters, processors, closers and other support professionals to help lead its continued growth plans.

In 2020, privately-held Movement Mortgage paid a $ 200 million dividend to its nonprofit Movement Foundation as part of its mission to love and value people by investing in communities. This “more than mortgages” initiative has resulted in the construction of three public charter schools for elementary and middle-school students with plans to construct at least 10 more over the next five years. The foundation also supports community grants across the U.S. and the development of community centers in developing countries.
