Hi friends! I’m so excited to come to the blog to share with you the new wallpaper in our main bedroom. It’s been a dream of mine to put wallpaper in this space for many years & I can’t believe we finally did it. I was waiting on two things: 1- finding the perfect wallpaper for the space 2-finding someone to install it for me. Yes, that’s right… we have wallpapered before, but for this project with all the weird ceiling angles & such I really wanted to get someone to help & we found the perfect local man who is super affordable to helps us so here we are today with our walls with some beautiful paper & even though the room is still unfinished, it’s looking so happy with that new paper…
I find myself endlessly scrolling Instagram and drooling over European homes that are showcasing wallpaper like the one we selected. I have been doing research on European wallpaper companies and that’s how I found this one. I follow one of those companies, Sandberg wallpaper, on Instagram & I was so inspired when I saw this Emil Garden wallpaper. There was some nostalgic vibes of a wallpaper we had in our house growing up & also a newness of my love for all things garden and plants. After Jose said he loved it, it was ordered & on the way to give our bedroom a fresh look. Now that we are at the stage of the house where we are figuring out the rooms and how we are using them I am excited to be adding elements like wallpaper and more.
Here is a little glimpse at our room before the wallpaper…
& now in the process of a little refresh with some wallpaper…
Our room had this board and batten in the space that runs three quarters up the wall so we chose to do the wallpaper at the top of the wall alone so it’s just a peek of detail which I think is perfect for our cozy white cottage. Like I said above, we have a lot to do to this room to add more detail and function, but this wallpaper was a great first step. I will be back with more updates later this week so stay tuned! Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog today.
