How to make a simple and cozy Fall Entryway

You guys know that ever fall and holiday season I like to share a lot of different looks & today is no different. Today I made a look in our fall entryway that is super simple & since it’s only the start of fall I thought this would be the perfect simple look to share with you guys today. All you need is some real pumpkins & some art with fall vibes, a fall sign like I have here, or even an ornate mirror or chalkboard. Let’s take a look at the space…

I got this sign from Oh Sweet Sky [HERE] & it’s my favorite fall sign. Yes, I know it’s missing the “I” but it’s become an inside joke now. Sometimes I edit one in, but I thought I would let you in on the inside joke right now. This space under the stairs is not a space everyone has in their homes, but you could recreate this look on a mantel, buffet, hutch, entryway table, & so much more.

I pulled in real pumpkins for this look and that’s the only other fall specific item I used. I love the mix of oranges & the look of real pumpkins in this space so it’s super simple & a natural fall look. As always, faux fall pumpkins and gourds are great additions into this space. Popular fall florals are great options too, by themself or to compliment the pumpkins. We didn’t use any in this space but a warm toned mum in or on the cabinet would be a great additional color pop to this space.

The furniture piece with some pumpkins placed in, on, and around it would be a great simple entryway, but adding the extra cozy texture of that chair helps bring the space to life. The chair in itself is cozy, but I love how it can be used not only by us, but welcomes guest to our home. The chair is a great spot for guests to take off and put on their shoes or even drape their coat. For us, especially in the evening during the golden hour, the sun peaks through the trees right into the little nook. This makes for a perfect little reading corner or even better a relaxing mental disconnect for a moment.

If you are looking at creating little vignettes or spaces like this in your home, I cannot stress enough the importance of trying to welcome a person or pet into the spaces. You’ll typically see my vignettes with benches, chairs, or stools in them. This creates that element of asking for a person to use this space, which not only helps layout the decor, but makes it functional for your or the homeowner that you are designing the space for.

And just like that you have created a perfect little cozy early fall space for your family and for guests. Find some fall hardware like signs or pillows for the space. Bring in seasonal items like pumpkins, gourds, or fall specific plants like mums. Add the extra element of a cozy little seating to welcome people to the space. Or just put some pumpkins together & call it good like I did. I hope that I always show you a range of looks to inspire you. As much as I would love to dive into the shelf styling, we’d have to turn this book into a chapter book. I can go more in depth on those, but the biggest tip is to add warm and cozy textures and pull out the light a rich green plants typically found in spring and summer looks. When I think of warm fall elements for these I think of copper and brass elements, amber bottles, thicker throws, their really isn’t a right our wrong, but those are my typical go-to’s. I hope this taught your or inspired you to add a simple and cozy fall space in your home like our entryway. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and every other day, it truly means the world to us here.
