I was going to post this giveaway on Friday of this week, but when I was working on a fall decorating project yesterday to post about today, I got a great “use what you have” idea unrelated to what I was working on. I was so excited that I stopped working on the project to go try my idea out.
Ed had to help as it required 2 people. It worked better than I would have ever thought. It was one of those moments when I hit myself on the head and said, “Why didn’t I ever realize this before.”
I will share all about it next week… and of course the project I was working on along with everything I have been doing to get the house ready for fall as next week marks the official first day of fall. So stay tuned, I think you are going to like what I changed.
So today I have something every decorating enthusiast enjoys…. decorating books.
After doing my annual clean-up and purge of my studioffice last week, I gathered a stack of decorating books that I have read and no longer need.
I used to keep books for years on bookshelves. A few years after we moved to the lake, I took them down and haven’t regretted that decision one bit. My house is small, so to keep it looking open and airy, I need to edit out what is no longer needed from time to time.
When it came to deciding what to do with the stack of decorating books, I figured why not give them away to a reader who hasn’t read them and will enjoy each and every one.
This time of year is also when new decorating books get published. I am adding two new books to the giveaway to bring the total to 10 books. Both of these books just came out this week.
