Four Different ways to add Santa Decor

SANTA! We love him here on the farm! We will take Santa any way shape and form here on the farm, from mini-mini little Santa mugs, to a giant 6 foot Santa, and everything in between. Santa decor is so very festive and fun to style your home and your spaces from around the tree, fireplace mantels, kitchen dishes, to hanging artwork. This is four different ways we incorporated a form of Santa decor into our home, if you are looking for more ways to spice up your Santa design! We love adding Santa to our home this time of year to bring some more magic into our decor for our son & of course for us as well…

Santa Mugs and Kitchenware

I love my Santa mugs. This is one of my larger collections across all collections, and I absolutely love my little variety of Santa mugs. I have some authentic and vintage Santa mugs, some older Santa mugs turned candles, newer mug collections from some of my favorite stores and boutiques. I also have very large Papa Noel vat, and a medium sized pitcher. I started my collection many many years ago, and try to add a few more each year. It is something fun to keep an eye out for at antique shops and vintage markets, and I look forward to sharing them each season.

How I decorate my Santa mug and dish wear collection is typically found in the kitchen. I do use my newer mugs, so I like to have the low and accessible while also being on display. I have an oversized mug rack or mug tree that I will display all my newer mugs around. This mug rack is quite large and can be a little consuming of space, but if I find a space for it, its oversized scale is a great anchor to a vignette. I do typically try to fill the tree with the same mugs, if I don’t have enough of the same mugs for your mug racks, fill the void space with all white mugs. I use smaller stoneware mugs to fill space between my Santa mugs to fill the space. If you have more of a vintage collection you don’t necessarily want to drink out of, neatly stacked and displayed on open shelves, or in a little corner vignette on your countertop.

Santa Art

If there is one thing to buy during the holiday season that is some form of Santa art. Wherever you go, there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of Santa art around whether vintage or new. I love using Santa art as a backdrop to a cute little vignette anywhere around the house. The perk to using Santa art as your only form of Christmas specific decor, the rest of your vignette is winter decor ready. Just trade out the Santa art for winter art, and now you have a beautiful wintery look to carry you to spring! Fun tip: You can find lovely Santa art online that you can print out yourself and frame for super affordable Santa art. This Santa canvas is from Hobby Lobby & it was a super affordable find & I loved how versatile he is… I can even add a frame for more of a statement!

DIY Santa

Who doesn’t love a little Christmas DIY. While I cannot take credit for this DIY Santa this was a great way to add a big statement to any Christmas space. My good friend, Holly from Hollihocks put this together with her daughter, it is a paint by number Santa, modpodged onto plywood cutout to the silhouette of Santa. There are countless other DIY Santas out there which is a great way to put your own touch on your decor or bring your family together for a Christmas activity!

Santa Figurines

Santa figurines new and old are great little additions to add to your Christmas looks. This year, we found this vintage little Santa figurine that we had in our neutral Christmas decor on our built-ins. If you love going out hunting for vintage and antiques, vintage figurines and dolls are popular items I typically find floating around. So if you are looking at starting a collection, start here, they are fun and unique, and conversation starters. I love adding whimsical touches to our Christmas decor and Santa figurines are the perfect touch. You can find Santa figurines at most holiday supply shops, antique stores, thrift shops, and more!

There you go! Four different ways to add Santa Decor into your Christmas looks. As a designer and home owner, I love evolving my looks and style, or simply try different looks from previous looks, Santa decor items are a great and whimsical way to bring more Christmas into different spaces. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today an every other day.
