Cottage Style Spring Mudroom

It’s been almost a year since I’ve given an update on our mudroom! Can you believe it’s been that long since we’ve been in here on the blog? I haven’t brought you guys back in here in a while because not much has changed, but I have an update that I wanted to share today and show you how I’ve styled the space for spring. Let’s get into the updates in our cottage style spring mudroom!

Painted the Workbench

We love having this workbench in the mudroom with the sink. It is so helpful to be able to quickly clean up after being outside, wash off muddy boots, or even give the little dogs Bella & Bear a bath in here [Winnie is far too big for the sink]! Originally the workbench was painted a light green and I decided to come in with a fresh coat of white paint on the bench. The mudroom gets dirty so a fresh coat of paint helped to bring a new clean look to the space. I used Raw Silk Fusion Mineral to paint the workbench, this is my favorite furniture paint and always gives me the exact look I’m going for. You can find fusion mineral paint here!

Adding Some Spring

Spring decor is all about bringing life back into your spaces with greenery! My favorite way to add spring to any room is with houseplants, real or faux they are a staple. One of my favorite houseplants is pothos, they are so easy to care for and don’t require a lot of light. You can find a bunch of my posts about houseplants on the blog here!

Vintage Finds

I have a few new vintage finds that I added into the mudroom since the last time we were in here! This cross cabinet is great for extra storage and I love the subtle pop of color it adds to the space. Across the top of the peg rail shelf, I’ve displayed my vintage broom collection. The large wicker basket hanging on the pegs is another vintage find of mine, I linked a bunch of similar baskets here.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into our cottage spring mudroom! Be sure to check out my tutorial on the checked painted floors here. Thank you for stopping by the blog today and every day, it means the world to me.
