Cozy Cottage Bathroom Refresh

It’s not often that I show bathrooms on the blog, but today I have a quick bathroom refresh for you guys! The main reason I never share bathrooms is that the only semi-finished bathroom in our house is the guest bathroom … what can I say, the bathrooms have definitely taken the backseat to our other house projects! haha. But I knew the first bathroom we needed to work on would be our guest bathroom [Jose & I can handle our bathroom not being complete]. If you haven’t seen my previous post I showed some before & afters of our bathroom here, but today I wanted to share a new cozy cottage bathroom refresh with you!

These gorgeous cabinets are really what inspired the change in the bathroom, I thought it would be really fun to switch up the bathroom and style new cabinets in here. I am still keeping the white cabinet but will use it somewhere else in the house! These cabinets are from Wayfair and I loved that they looked like they could be vintage. Unfortunately, they are out of stock already but I’ve reached out to Wayfair to see if I can get a restock date & will let you know asap! I knew I wanted to display a lot of things in these cabinets so I decided to paint the inside white, this is a great way to make your items pop when you style them inside a dark cabinet like this. That step is totally optional but I think it made a huge difference in brightening up this wall!

Here are a few cabinets I found with a similar style:

To hang above the toilet I also made this DIY antique canvas print. I knew I wanted to share this bathroom update with you guys this week & didn’t have time to get this art printed in a large enough size for this canvas. So we printed it in four pieces at home and glued them onto the canvas. Then to give it the antique look I distressed the print. I get all of my prints from BFF Print Shop, you can find this one here! I used modge podge to stick the paper to the canvas & put a layer of modge podge on top to seal it. I then trimmed the sides & voila you have 5 minute art!

This large laundry basket adds the perfect cozy touch to our bathroom. You can use it as a laundry basket, for extra storage, or as a trash can depending on what you need in your bathroom! We hung this toilettes sign that I got from Michaels a long time ago, but we didn’t have screws that matched the gold sign. A quick fix for that is to add gold rub & buff to the screws and just like that they match! I also added this rug into the bathroom, I thought it was a great way to bring a pop of a pattern and cozy vibe into the space as we move into the colder months.

I hope you guys enjoyed getting a peak into our cozy cottage bathroom! I will be back with a few more updates as I want to paint the floors & update the lighting later, but for now it’s so refreshed! Do you have any questions about our bathroom? Let me know on Facebook or Instagram I’d love to hear from you & answer your questions! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and everday.
