Anyone else love spring? I love the fresh start it brings to the year … Warm air, flowers blooming, and the sunshine! As much as I love getting outside during the spring months, I also love bringing spring into our home. The number one question I get asked is where to get started or how to approach spring decor. If I had to give one tip on how to approach spring decor it would be to bring the garden in. So how do I do this? I think of the things I might use in a garden … watering can, different tools, plants, gloves, boots, plant markers, etc & then bring those items into my home to use when styling a space! I want to share with you my best tips for bringing the garden into your home …
Terra Cotta Pots
Bring the garden in with a bunch of terra cotta pots like in this Spring Silhouette Mantel! I stacked, laid, and layered the pots all across the mantel to bring spring into my decor.
Floral Prints
These floral prints are the perfect way to bring the garden in. If you don’t have flowers blooming yet, these floral prints bring the same vibe into the space but last a lot longer than flowers do. Of course, if you can mix in a few real plants to give your Spring Greenhouse Mantel the perfect touch.
Antique Garden Tools
To create this spring greenhouse entryway I gathered up all of my antique garden tools and terra-cotta pots! Start by stacking and layering all of your different elements until you like the final look. The more antique tools the better for this one!

Happy Houseplants
We want to bring in as many real plants as possible when “bringing the garden in” but we want to make sure they live! Here I shared quick tips to keep your houseplants happy! If you have trouble keeping houseplants alive this is a post for you.
Mix Your Elements
This spring entryway gives me all the garden vibes … the plants, tools, watering can, and terra-cotta pots bring the garden into your home! When bringing the garden in for your spring decor I highly recommend mixing different elements of the garden together. For this entryway, I have a little bit of everything & I think it makes it feel very spring-y!
When to Bring Spring in
I’m happiest when every corner of our home has a plant in it! During spring I put a plant in every corner of our home… if the corner doesn’t get good sunlight I would use a fake plant instead. But really our whole house has plants all over during spring & it makes me feel like the garden is all around us.
Watering Cans
The spring watering can mantel is one of my favorites! Grab a few watering cans and stuff them with your favorite faux spring greenery and drape a large spring garland across the mantel.
Potting Bench
While technically this garden potting bench was outside by our greenhouse I had to include it in this post. If you think about everything you would have out by or in your greenhouse and bring those elements into your house you can style so many different spaces! Gather a bunch of garden items in a bucket, bring them into the house & start playing around until you’ve styled something you love!
Crystal Chandeliers
I always find myself drawn to crystal chandeliers in the springtime. Try replacing your light fixture with a chandelier to bring a touch of spring into your home. I love them in the sunroom because it reflects the sunlight all over the room & brings so much happy into the room!
Plant Markers
Technically plant markers are for your garden but I love using these in our decor and our indoor plants. These DIY Plant Markers would be perfect to style in an entryway, tablescape, or mantel! Finding ways to repurpose these typical “outdoor” items are exactly how I bring the garden into our home. Check out the full DIY here.
Patio Decor
Bring the garden onto your patio as well! I love to load my patio up with plants, especially those that need a little extra sunlight to extend spring all over our house. Head over to this post for some inspiration for your spring patio & a few tips on having a green thumb.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for your spring decor! I love bringing the garden in … there’s something so happy about a house filled with plants. Check out more of my spring blog posts here! Thank you for stopping by the blog today and every day.
